For Alex Hatch, our new Denver Sales Manager, working in weddings and events has been a dream ever since watching Father of the Bride at the age of eleven.

“I wanted desperately to work with Martin Short’s character,” she says. “I loved him and his creative process. I went to school for hospitality, and while I was there I met a wedding planner I ended up working with for six years. It was perfect, and exactly what my eleven-year-old self wanted to do!”

Having worked in the Denver wedding industry for the better part of a decade, Alex was very familiar with our team – especially Julie Gambrell, our Denver Territory Manager. When she saw that we were looking for a Sales Manager, she leapt at the opportunity.

“I thought it could be fun, so I applied. I had an interview the next day, and the rest is history! I’m a big believer in energy, and when I talked to Brennan and Rachel I knew it’d be a great fit. I already have some great connections in the industry, so I’m able to hit the ground running.”

Alex’s new role will have her on the road in Denver and its surrounds meeting with venue reps and other vendors.

“My focus is on continuing to foster relationships with current clients while also building new ones. People are always in and out, and it’s important to keep track of who’s working where. I’m big on relationships, because they’re a huge part of sales. I think it’s going to be a fun adventure!”

Alex is someone who throws herself into things wholeheartedly, whether it’s her on-the-side health and wellness business or her passion for all things Harry Potter. In fact, she’s such an ardent fan of the latter that she’s become somewhat of a local celebrity.

“I’m perhaps the biggest Harry Potter fan you’ll ever meet. I was even interviewed by a local paper about it! I grew up with Harry, and I really believe that the books have helped shape me into who I am. I will one hundred percent have Harry Potter influences at my wedding one day: chocolate wands, frogs and floating candles. I have so many ideas, and thankfully I work with so many wonderful event professionals to help me keep it classy!”

Alex has already apparated into our Denver office, and is looking forward to working her magic with local venue and event reps.

“I’m a relationship person in my personal and professional life. I want people to come to us because we take the time to get to know them and what matters to them – it’s about the person, not the sale. And if they want to know which Harry Potter house they belong to, I’m happy to play the role of the Sorting Hat!”
