Meet DeAnne Torok, Linen Hero’s Pittsburgh Inside Sales Representative

DeAnne Torok is a firm believer in taking on any challenge that life presents and making the most of it.

“I once signed up for a Tough Mudder obstacle–style race with my husband and his friend because I wanted to do more than cheer from the sidelines,” she says.

“At that point I’d never run more than a few miles, but I made it the entire twelve-mile event, and kept up with them the whole way!”

And as the new Inside Sales Representative at the Pittsburgh Linen Hero by Chair Covers and Linens location, she’s quick to note that this “just go for it!” motto has served her well in her career as well.

“I love working with the public, and wanted to be in public relations – and especially its event planning side – from day one. My university didn’t offer an event major per se, but I took every class I could down that avenue. After that, I ended up working at a sheriff’s office doing PR, and then next at a gym!”

Both were great learning experiences, but it was the next opportunity that presented itself that truly propelled DeAnne into the events space.

“I found out that my father-in-law, who had previously run a successful catering business, was opening an events venue with an attached restaurant. I approached him about working with the venue, and that was that. I learned so much from being there, helping to build the business from its very beginnings.”

It was at an event at the venue that DeAnne happened to meet Bonnie Bradley, our star Pennsylvania territory manager, and the two hit it off immediately.

“I love being in events, and especially being able to focus on something that’s niche and particular. This new role lets me do exactly that. I get to specialize in linens and decor – and to really think about how they can tie into an event.”

DeAnne also plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our Pittsburgh location.

“First and foremost I’m here to support Bonnie so that she can be on the road, meeting with our clients face-to-face. I handle showroom appointments and make sure that everything is held up on this end – it’s all about looking after our clients.”

And she has the Linen Hero team from all over the US there to support her every move.

“I love working with a group that’s tight-knit,” she says. “I’ve never worked at an establishment with this kind of friendly, passionate attitude before. It’s inspiring, and really makes you want to get up and come to work in the morning!”
